Karen shared some of her some best practice with employers and what Capital One has done to be named the UK’s Best large Workplace for the last 3 years by Great Places to Work®.

Karen has led Capital One’s people strategy since 2009.  She is passionate about creating an environment where great people can be the best version of themselves, every day.

Karen is a former employment lawyer and is a leading HR speaker and thought partner, challenging conventional wisdom on the way we work, the environment we work in and the power of engaging employees through a higher purpose.

“It was great to be invited as part of the local business community to speak at the event,” said Karen.  “Capital One is a key employer in the city and I believe in sharing great practice for the benefit of businesses in Nottingham.”

As the lunch coincided with Children in Need Day, there was a charity collection and £400 was raised.
