Nottingham Post editor Mike Sassi took to the stage at Nottingham City Business Club lunch

Editor and publisher of the Nottingham Post, Mike Sassi, was the guest speaker at the recent Nottingham City Business Club event.

Mike spoke about the effects that the digital age has had on a newspaper like the Nottingham Post and how the publication has changed and adapted to keep serving the needs and interests of local people.

Nottingham City Business Club was established in 1924 and its membership comprises of senior representatives of the local business community.

The club holds monthly lunch meetings for members to meet fellow senior business people in the city, with different prominent guest speakers featuring at each event.

Mike Sassi has been editor and publisher of the daily Nottingham Post newspaper for almost four years.  He is originally from Sunderland but has lived in Nottinghamshire for more than 15 years.  He began his career 29 years ago at the Derby Telegraph and has worked on daily newspapers and their websites ever since, in cities including Cardiff, Exeter, Lincoln and Stoke.
