Karen joined East Midlands Airport as Managing Director in April 2018. Prior to this she worked at London Stansted Airport where held the posts of Customer Services and Security Director and Asset Management Director.

Beginning her career in the Royal Air Force as an aircraft engineer, she then retrained as an air traffic controller. After over 20 years in the RAF she joined Serco where she had numerous roles including Partnership Director of their defence and aviation business.

Karen says: “I look forward to meeting business leaders in Nottingham. Talking with, and listening to, the needs of businesses across the region is critical to developing new routes from EMA and shaping our approach to our aviation strategy. An opportunity such as this, to bring people up to speed with our growth plans and to hear what businesses have to say, will be very beneficial.”
