On this tour you will have the opportunity to follow the trail of historical facts and learn about how simple ballads that are over 700 years old grew into one of the greatest stories ever told.

Join us and marvel at the stunning architecture of the Lace Market, once the lace capital of the world. Shudder in the shadow of the old county gaol and find tranquillity in St Mary’s churchyard.

We’ll also be taking in landmarks like the Council House and the Old Market Square as well as taking a peek into ancient caves beneath the streets, visiting one or two historical watering holes, should you wish to take in some refreshment, and the tour will formally end at the famous Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem.

Timetable:
14:30 - 15:00: Registration at The Cross Keys,15 Byard Lane, Nottingham NG1 2GJ
15:00: Tour official starts taking in the Lace Market area
15:45: Pit stop at The Kean’s Head
16:00: Continue the tour taking in the Old Market Square area and making our way up to Ye Olde Salutation Inn.
16:40 - 17:15: Refreshment break at Ye Olde Salutation Inn with the opportunity to take a look in the caves beneath. Drink included in the ticket price.
17:15: Tour continues towards the Castle gates, down past the Robin Hood statue and on to the Trip to Jerusalem.
18:00: Official tour ends
