Chief Executive of the Castle Trust, Heather Mayfield revealed as guest speaker at Nottingham City Business Club event in September

Heather Mayfield, who is the chief executive of the Castle Trust, will be the guest speaker at the Nottingham City Business Club event taking place on Friday 21 September 2018 when she will talk about the £30m transformation project that is now underway at Nottingham Castle.

Heather began her career in Nottingham as an intern at the Castle museum working in the exhibitions unit. She then joined the Science Museum in London as a museum assistant progressing to the position of deputy director. In October 2014, she moved back to her home city of Nottingham to take on the role of CEO of the Nottingham Castle Trust because she loves the Castle and, in her words: “the transformation of the site is the most important cultural project in the country.”

Her role is to lead the delivery of £3million funding towards the £30million project and to support the team in the development and delivery of the project.

President of the club, Ian Roberts, said: “The Castle redevelopment is a hugely exciting and important project for Nottingham and brings significant investment in to the city. I am looking forward to hearing from Heather on how the transformation work is progressing.”
