CEO of Nottinghamshire Community Foundation revealed as next Nottingham City Business Club guest speaker

The CEO of Nottinghamshire Community Foundation (NCF), Nina Dauban, will be taking to the podium as guest speaker at Nottingham City Business Club’s upcoming February lunch event.

The event is due to take place on Friday 16 February 2018, at 11.45am at the Park Plaza Hotel, in Maid Marian Way, Nottingham.

Nina has over 30 years experience in the region’s ‘beyond profit’ sector after starting her first charity at only 22 years of age. Since then, she has set up a vast range of local community services and enterprises.

She is currently the chairperson of Hetty’s, a local charity which supports families surrounded by drug and alcohol misuse, as well as being the CEO of the NCF – the only accredited grant administrator in the city. The organisation has given over £25 million in small grants to local charities since 1997, and runs over 35 funds on behalf of corporate CSR, local families and trusts.

At NCBC’s February lunch, Nina will talk to guests about the importance of the ‘For Local by Local’ agenda around CSR Policy and practice.

Speaking ahead of the event, Nina said: “I am thrilled to be guest speaker at NCBC’s February lunch and I’m excited to deliver my speech on how businesses can get involved and help out around the local area. I have worked in the sector for many years so it will be great to be able to share my story and get across the importance of the agenda.”

Nottingham City Business Club was established in 1924 and its membership comprises of senior representatives of the local business community. The club is sponsored by national law firm Buckles, who have an office in Nottingham.

The club holds monthly lunch meetings for members to meet fellow senior business people in the city, with different prominent guest speakers featuring at each event.

President of the club, Mark Deakin, added: “We are really looking forward to having Nina as our February guest speaker, and finding out all about the NCF as well as other charity organisations in the county.”
