Creating Better Commerce

Welcome to the NCBC website

Welcome to Nottingham City Business Club. Created in 1924, we are the oldest business club outside London, with members drawn from all sectors and sizes of commercial enterprise.

The aims of the Club have remained the same throughout our history: to promote and discuss all matters pertaining to the business and social interests of members, and to hold lunches to which we invite prominent guests to speak on matters of commercial interest.

Lunch Events

Our lunch meetings are held on the third Friday of each month (excluding August) at the design-led, four-star Park Plaza Hotel on Maid Marian Way in Nottingham. We meet for drinks around noon, and sit for a three course lunch at 12.30pm. We introduce our speaker after lunch, and aim to conclude around 2.15pm. Most of our speakers are happy to take questions from the audience.

Visitors and guests are very welcome. Please have a look at the past events we have held this year, and our planned programme for the coming months.

Places at events must be booked online and payment is required when booking. Our  events are very popular and places are limited so it is important to book early. Click the 'Book Tickets' link above to complete the online booking form and be directed to our secure payment portal.

Members - don't forget to log in before booking to take advantage of the  membership rate. If you have any probelms booking your lunch for any reason  please email us here

Stock up on drinks and snacks. Make sure the remote has fresh batteries and put the cellphone on vibrate. This just might be the best weekend of the sports year. College football games galore, and good college football games at that.
